David A. Allds Honored for Excellence in Music Publishing
David A. Allds has worked the White House to the West Coast
Nashville, TN, July 31, 2009 David A. Allds, Founder and Owner of Flatlanders Music Publishing Group (BMI), Beyond the Boarders Music Publishing (ASCAP) and Co-Founder, CEO of Warp 10 Productions, Inc., has been recognized by Cambridge Who’s Who for demonstrating dedication and excellence in the arts and music publishing field.
Mr. Allds has enjoyed a colorful 36-year career in the music industry as an A-list musician (drummer), hit songwriter, producer and music publisher. As a musician, Mr. Allds had the distinction of performing for President Nixon at The White House while performing with an impressive list of who’s who rock artists ranging from Grand Funk Railroad, at Cleveland Recording Studio and Gary Puckett and the Union Gap, to country music legends Les Paul and George Jones, just to name a few.
In charge of overseeing day-to-day operations of his two publishing companies, Mr. Allds is currently responsible for overseeing song catalog placement, songwriter development, recording production and new artist project development. As a result of his songwriting success with Mel Tillis, his songs have been requested by Kenny Chesney, Faith Hill, John Michael Montgomery, Allen Jackson, Brad Paisley, and many others. Mr. Allds has served as VIP host / spokesperson for the Nashville Songwriters Festival for the past five years with his special guest Tom T. Hall, Waylon Jennings, Stella Parton, Mel McDaniel and more.
Mr. Allds has been honored for his writing with two Editor’s Choice Awards 2005 and 2006. Early this year; he joined forces with veteran Music Row Executive James Rea to form WARP 10 Productions, Inc. to create projects for TV, the Motion Picture Industry and Web-Casts. Mr. Allds attributes his success to his mentor Chet Atkins, a lifelong passion for music, good networking skills and relentless hard work.
In addition to music, Mr. Allds holds a master's degree in theology and has been actively involved in church for the pass thirty years. He has been an Ordained Baptist Minister for eighteen years with Fourteenth Avenue Missionary Baptist Church and served as associate minister for eleven years and is now a supporting member of Epiphany Baptist Church. His affiliations’ include the Nashville Chamber of Commerce, International Library Poetry, People to People Eisenhower Foundation, Writers Guided of America, West, Inc., Tennessee Songwriters Association International, Broadcast Music, Inc. and the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers.
